Reviews
Skabadip

A landmark for the band, this was the first studio album recorded after signing to German label Grover.

With a subtle cover yet hard-hitting title, the musical content has a similar blend of styles, from the hard ska of Fat Cat and Geronimo to the cool rocksteady of Angels and You and Breakfast In Love, and even dub.

This long awaited album in the 'trad' ska circles delivered live favourites still played today by the band, from Road Rage to More Pressure, and the superb reading of Lord Creators Evening News by vocalist Carter.

The only other cover version from the 15 tracks sees the band take on the ultra rare Skinhead Train from The Charmers, for which many fans thanked the band for finally getting to hear this elusive tune!

On it's release in '97, one review claimed Intensified to be 'the British Skatalites', praise indeed, whilst others claimed it 'the best British ska release since the Potato 5 debut in the mid 80's' and 'tracks such as Fat Cat and You Better Run will go down as ska classics in years to come'....we hope so!
