Black Pearl single was the fastest selling single in the labels history
and this latest seven inch looks like beating that record. Glamour
Girls is a stomping tune that has become a live favourate whilst
Delano Stewart's Tell Me Baby features keyboard maestro Sean
Flowerdew.
Fat Cat (Black Pearl)
Released on blue vinyl,this paved the way for the debut lp in '97.Fat
Cat is now regarded a ska classic.The B side, You Better Run ,tells the
story of a rude boy in love,and his girlfriends father!!Both different
versions to Yard Shaker.
Boss A Botheration (Black Pearl)
A huge single for the band,being the first release on Black Pearl
records of Germany.Two reggae originals that remain crowd favourites today,this
really forged the band ahead in the traditional ska and reggae circles.Both
skinhead anthems,Boss tells the tale of a local troublemaker,whilst Look
Pon You asks people not to judge a book by it's cover,or a man by his
clothes!
Unpack the Dominoes (SwingEasy)
4 track 12" single that was released with a massive local gig.With
2 reggae and 2 ska tracks, including the then live favourite Two Wrongs,
the band started getting recognition abroad.
Marguerita (SwingEasy)
The sought after first 7" single,from '92,released on the bands
own Swingeasy label at a time when ska singles were no longer the in thing.A
tragic tale of love gone wrong,Marguerita is the story of Don Drummond...the
b side introduced vocalist Paul carter to the fans for the first time.
