The first long player release from Intensified in '96 served two purposes. It was needed as a promotional tool for the label Grover to get the band European tours, whilst waiting for the first studio album, and secondly it would satisfy the many requests label supremo Ossi was receiving for the hard to find Intensified vinyl releases. 'Don't Slam The Door' pulled together the debut single and classic story of Don Drummond, 'Marguerita', with the ultra rare track 'Sea Of Love' (released on a free ep with Skinhead Times newspaper), the much sought after 4 track 12 inch single 'Unpack The Domino's', and the first release of Black Pearl records, 'Boss A Botheration', still a live favourite today! Add to this some previously unreleased studio tracks (produced by Morcheeba's Paul Godfrey) and Don't Slam The Door has become both musically and historically important for the band.
